Jihaad Campbell, who has started the majority of the past two seasons as a Crimson Tide linebacker, was selected with the No. 31 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, which traded up one spot to secure the Alabama defender.

SEC quarterbacks were chosen in the 2025 NFL Draft, including Florida’s Graham Mertz in the sixth round by the Houston Texans. Before picking Mertz, Houston had been the only franchise in the NFL that had not drafted a quarterback from the SEC.

The class is headlined by offensive lineman Tyler Booker, who was the first selection for the franchise. However, it appears the Cowboys found more than one top player in their rookie class.
