Alabama nearly blew another lead to Florida, but the Crimson Tide held on for a 9-6 win to set up a rubber match on Saturday.

Florida baseball took the first game of the final series of the regular season agains the Alabama Crimson Tide at home on Thursday night.

Florida answers with a run in the sixth inning as Blake Brookings belts a one-out double and scores on an RBI single by Bobby Boser. But Boser, who stole second later in the inning, is left stranded when Landon Stripling grounds out to the pitcher to end the inning. Alabama 6, Florida 5 end 6th.
