President Donald Trump has removed former U.S. Rep. Billy Long as IRS commissioner less than two months after his confirmation

President Donald Trump is removing the former member of Congress from his post less than two months after his swearing in. Long says he is being named ambassador to Iceland.

The former congressman and auctioneer had been confirmed by the Senate in June. He was the sixth commissioner of the agency this year.
