Shots were fired during an attempted robbery at a post office in Midwood, Brooklyn Monday afternoon. It happened at around 1:15 p.m. at the Midwood Station Post Office on Coney Island Avenue near Avenue J. According to police, a man tried to rob the post office and fired several shots while he was inside.

An attempted robbery at a Brooklyn post office led to gunfire; the suspect fled on a moped, but no injuries were reported.

The robber fired off multiple rounds inside the Midwood branch on Coney Island Ave. near Avenue I about 1:10 p.m. Monday, cops said.
