Apple has failed to persuade a U.S. appeals court to pause key parts of a federal judge's order requiring the iPhone maker to immediately open its lucrative App Store to more competition.

Developers including Amazon and Spotify have been able to update their apps to avoid Apple's 15% to 30% commission.

The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Apple’s emergency request to pause key parts of a lower court antitrust order.
