Coco Gauff produces a stunning display to thrash four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek 6-1 6-1 and reach the final of the Madrid Open.

Reigning Madrid Open champion Iga Swiatek suffered a crushing 6-1, 6-1 semi-final defeat by Coco Gauff on Thursday, with the Pole saying “everything kind of collapsed” in a worrying performance. The Polish world number two and five-time Grand Slam winner could not force a single break point and dropped serve five times as she fell in 64 minutes.

Swiatek hasn't won any titles since last year's French Open and she didn't hide at the start of the clay season that she was hoping to quickly change that. So far, it hasn't happened for the 23-year-old, who still has the Rome Open before kicking off her French Open title defense.
