"The Final Reckoning" director goes behind the scenes on creating the most dangerous "Mission: Impossible" scene ever.

Tom Cruise is basking in the glow of a record-breaking franchise start for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” at the box office, and he reacted to the film’s opening haul in a heartfelt letter posted on his social media pages. His longtime stunt coordinator and second unit director Wade Eastwood told The Times of London newspaper how drained the actor was by one particular stunt in the eighth (and apparently final) instalment of his hit franchise Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning – one which involved him walking on the wing of a small biplane mid-air.

They were like, ‘Oh, you can sit down and we’ll have a stunt double do it,’ and I was like, ‘No, I’ve worked too hard, let me do it!’” the actor revealed.
