Trey Murphy III scored 34 points, Saddiq Bey made a 3-pointer, converted an offensive rebound into a dunk and hit two free throws in the final 1:04, and the New Orleans Pelicans edged the Brooklyn Nets 116-113.

Unfortunately, however, the Pelicans continue to be short-handed. Dealing with injuries to key players once again, New Orleans had Herb Jones and Jose Alvarado listed as out on their injury report. Saddiq Bey, on the other hand, is listed as doubtful with a hip strain after missing the last five games for the Pelicans.

New Orleans responded with consecutive baskets by Williamson, Fears and Williamson again to take a 73-72 lead. The lead changed hands nine more times before the Karlo Matkovic converted a three-point play for the Pelicans to tie the score at 87 at the end of third quarter.
