David Pastrnak had two goals and two assists, leading the Boston Bruins to a 6-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.

Charlie McAvoy had an assist, four shots on goal and was plus-4 in 24:16 of ice time in his return for Boston. He had missed the previous 11 games after he was hit in the face with a puck in a game against the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 15, an incident that required facial surgery.

David Pastrnak has taken the first step toward getting back in the Bruins lineup. The star winger skated for the first time since suffering an undisclosed injury, according to the Boston Herald’s Steve Conroy. Pastrnak has missed Boston’s last four games, so returning to the ice is an encouraging development.

Casey Mittelstadt and Michael Eyssimont also scored goals, and David Pastrnak had a pair of assists as the Bruins returned from a three-game road trip to open a five-game homestand with a victory. Barrett Hayton scored for the Mammoth, and Vitek Vanecek made 19 saves.

Pastrnak has seven points in two games since returning. “He’s a pretty good hockey player,” head coach Marco Sturm said. “He’s a special player. And only those kinds of players can do it.”

David Pastrnak has been essential to the Boston Bruins’ lineup for a decade now, growing into an elite goal-scorer. He’s hit over 100 points in the last three seasons, including an incredible 61 goals in the 2022-23 season.
