A winter storm system moved through the Pittsburgh area on Monday, dumping several inches of snow throughout the region in the process. Heavy snow began to blanket parts of the area early on Monday and continued to accumulate throughout the afternoon and the evening.

Crews have been working around the clock to clear the roads of snow, but there's some work left to be done in the city of .

Outside of some residual flurries, the winter storm has wrapped up. It is a cold morning with temperatures in the teens, but feels like temperatures are running closer to 10 degrees and the single digits. Keep an eye out for slick spots.

When all is said and done with this major winter storm, Pittsburgh, for the most part, will have dodged another bullet with the snow not making it as far north as previously predict.
