Whitney Houston probably doesn’t come up in many of the phone calls when NFL teams notify their first-round draft picks of their selection. But the singer did on Thursday night when the Dallas Cowboys let Alabama guard Tyler Booker know he’d been chosen at No. 12 in the 90th NFL Draft.

Micah Parsons was clearly a little bit disappointed at first, but he did go on to share his thoughts on the selection. “I am excited about the pick,” Micah Parsons said. “This guy is a beast. He is a beast. And I look at him and Tyler Smith -- guard on guard with Zack Martin leaving -- this is one of them picks, I mean wow. He is a beast.
