Louisiana’s team has only had to win two games so far, beating Tulsa and Hallettsville (TX-East) to get to the final. Teams from Louisiana are 5-1 in regional championship games. Since that loss to Sterlington, Oklahoma has won three games in a row, including beating East Texas on Thursday.

The Lake Mary 12U team beat Virginia 8-1 to win the region, which was hosted in Georgia. The girls now head to the the Little League Softball World Series, which takes place Aug. 3-10 in Greenville, North Carolina.
