Three junior hockey players, including an American teenager, died in a car crash while traveling to team practice on Monday, officials said, as the province of Alberta mourns their deaths.

The town of Stavely is mourning the death of three junior hockey players killed in a crash south of Calgary.

The Southern Alberta Mustangs, a U.S. Premier Hockey League team based in Stavely, Alta., were travelling to a team practice when their vehicle collided with a semi-truck, according to RCMP
