Developers Boeing and the U.S. Navy say they successfully completed the first two-hour test flight of an operational model.
The U.S. Navy and defense contractor Boeing announced the first complete test flight of the MQ-25A Stingray aerial refueling drone.
Unlike the Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft, the Stingray is not built to aid manned fighters in air-to-air combat; its role is far more crucial for naval operations.
The MQ-25A Stingray will refuel warplanes in mid-flight, allowing them to carry out longer missions.
