Storm Chandra caused widespread travel chaos and flooding as powerful winds and torrential rain battered large swathes of the UK.

A lorry driver died after his vehicle crashed into a Hampshire river in the aftermath of Storm Chandra, police have said.

Hampshire Police said the lorry driver, who was in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident in the New Forest.
