NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - With Tuesday’s report that 250 federal agents will be deployed to Louisiana as a part of a massive immigration enforcement effort, local immigrant rights groups are preparing the area’s migrant and Hispanic families.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Local doctors are warning of what could be the most contagious flu season in recent memory, as this year the H3N2 strain emerges as the dominant variant. “We talk about it as though it’s harmless, but the flu kills at least 50,000 people a year in the United States,” Fox 8 health educator Dr. Eric Griggs said.
In Saturday’s runoffs, Aimee McCarron and state Representative Jason Hughes likewise won council seats by big margins. Same for newcomer Calvin Duncan in the hotly contested race for Criminal Court clerk.
