Arizona officials on both sides of the aisle are calling for an investigation into the Dragon Bravo fire that destroyed the Grand Canyon Lodge. The historic lodge on the North Rim was consumed by a wildfire that started with a lightning strike on July 4. The blaze grew and continued burning heavily 10 days later.

The Grand Canyon Lodge was one of dozens of structures destroyed in a fast-moving wildfire in Arizona over the weekend, the National Park Service (NPS) confirmed.

The fire destroyed about 70 structures at the North Rim, including a water treatment facility causing a chlorine gas leak.
