Over 10,000 workers told to resume duties as government cites national interest, economic impact of halted operations - Anadolu Ajansı

More than 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants who went on strike early Saturday will be ordered to return to work by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), according to a Saturday announcement by Canadian Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu.

The airline said in a news release that it has “suspended all operations” for Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights as of Saturday, Aug. 16, due to the strike. The release added, however, that Air Canada Express flights will not be affected, as they are “operated by third-party airlines.”
