The Michigan baseball team’s season is likely over after a crushing 6-5 extra-innings loss on Tuesday in its opening game of the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines, the No. 7 seed, loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth of a tie game against No.
But even with No. 7 seed Michigan’s (33-21 Overall, 16-14 Big Ten) hot hitting late in its contest against No. 11 Illinois (29-23, 14-16), it simply wasn’t enough, ending the contest in a 6-5 loss.
