Early in the third, team captains Auston Matthews and Brady Tkachuk exchanged goals to give the Leafs a 2-1 lead and the Senators the game-tying goal, respectively. Just 1:19 into overtime, defenseman Simon Benoit fired a slap shot past Ullmark to win it for Toronto and put the Senators on the verge of elimination.
