Rob Blake is out after eight seasons as the Los Angeles Kings' vice president and general manager. The Kings announced a mutual parting with Blake on Monday, four days after Los Angeles lost to Edmonton in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.

Ken Holland, who won four Stanley Cups as a Detroit Red Wings executive and helped lead the Edmonton Oilers to a runner-up finish last season, is expected to become general manager of the Los Angeles Kings,

Holland, who won four Stanley Cup titles as an executive with the Red Wings, will replace Rob Blake, whose contract was not renewed after a fourth straight first-round playoff exit.
