Following close behind are "Arrival" and "Nocturnal Animals" with nine bids apiece. While "Arrival" joins "La La Land" in the Best Picture race, "Nocturnal Animals" was snubbed in that top category.
The BAFTAs begin at the Royal Albert Hall in London at 7:00 pm Sunday (Feb. 12). However, the BBC won't air the show until 9 pm local time. And it won't go out on BBC America until 5 pm PT/8 pm ET.
