STATESBORO, Ga. (WHSV) - Ro Scott provided 17 points off the bench, Ashanti Barnes and Peyton McDaniel each had double-doubles, and James Madison stayed perfect in Sun Belt Conference play, defeating Georgia Southern 77-60.

The Georgia Southern women’s basketball team dropped its fourth straight contest. The Lady Eagles fell at home to James Madison at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center on Jan. 29, 77-60. Georgia Southern battled strong early against the top team in the Sun Belt Conference.

Peyton McDaniel knows about popular. The redshirt junior earned Sun Belt Player of the Week honors for a second-consecutive week and the third time this season. McDaniel averaged 18.5 points and 11 rebounds in wins against Southern Miss and Coastal Carolina.
