Former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus was named the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday. Eberflus is no stranger to the Cowboys, with whom he served as the linebackers coach and pass game coordinator from 2011-17.
The Colts reached the playoffs twice and were a top-10 scoring defense three times in Eberflus’ four seasons as defensive coordinator. Chicago went 14-32 under Eberflus and never had better than the league’s 18th-best scoring defense.
