Fresh off of his unexpected departure from President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, Vivek Ramaswamy has set his sights on becoming governor of Ohio, his home state.
Ramaswamy announced his departure from the Trump's new nongovernmental entity, the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE), which he was chosen to lead alongside tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, in an X post the first day of Trump's term, writing that it was an "honor to help support the creation" of the department.
In his first opportunity to address his high-profile departure, Ramaswamy denied he had a falling-out with Elon Musk, the co-creator of DOGE.
