The airline and aviation authorities began checking the switches on Boeing jets after an earlier report into the horror crash in Ahmedabad found the switches had flipped from “run” to “cut-off”.

Currently, Air India operates 33 Boeing 787s, and its low-cost arm Air India Express has around 75 Boeing 737s.
