Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least 19 people on Sunday, including six children at a water collection point,

Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli air strikes on Sunday killed more than 40 Palestinians, including at a market and a water distribution point, as talks for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas stalled.

At least six children were killed in an Israeli strike on a water collection point. The Israeli military blamed a technical error which made its munition fall "dozens of meters from the target".
