NEW YORK — As the Yankees changed back into their street clothes in a quiet clubhouse following Friday night’s ugly loss to the Phillies, many walked over to Scott Effross’ locker. Some of Effross’ teammates patted the reliever on the back, muttering words of encouragement.

The sloppy Yanks committed two more errors, including one during the go-ahead rally by the Phillies, and the bullpen coughed up 10 runs over the final three innings.

After a disappointing 12–5 loss to the Phillies, the Yankees sent down two players as they look to fix their struggling bullpen.
