As the regular season winds down before the playoffs heat up, it is time to recognize this week's outstanding high school boys basketball players. There are eight players who had a fantastic week from the state of Alabama that have been selected as nominees.

The state boys and girls teams have been selected for the 35th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Classic set to be played in in March. The two teams were announced today by J.T. Lawrence,

The Alabama high school basketball season is officially into the postseason as area tournaments kick off around the state. Area tournaments can get started on Thursday and go through Wednesday for Class 1A-6A.
