Anisimova, 23, returns to Centre Court for Saturday's final against the winner of Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic. Anisimova is trying to become the first American to win a Grand Slam in London since Serena Williams' seventh and final Wimbledon title in 2016.

The 23-year-old star could be the first American woman to win the tournament since 2016. A self-imposed sabbatical may have helped her get there.

She defeats No. 1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka in a semifinal Thursday and will face five-time major champion Iga Swiatek for the title at All England Club.
