People checking out the online version of the U.S. Constitution might have noticed something a bit odd earlier this week. Sections of it were missing.

Portions of the U.S. Constitution, including sections on habeas corpus and rules against the government issuing titles of nobility, were removed from the text of the U.S. Constitution on Congress' Constitution website in August 2025.

Critics were quick to point out that the missing sections are constitutional clauses President Trump has targeted since taking office for a second term.
