More than 100 people gathered for a private celebration of life ceremony to honor Corey Comperatore Sunday, July 13, at the Butler Farm Show grounds. At the event, the community heard stories about

Steve Magoc, a veteran firefighter in Sarver, said he was blown away by the massive display of solidarity for Comperatore, his former friend of 15 years, as well as his widow, Helen, and two daughters, Kaylee and Allyson Comperatore, who led the lengthy procession in a white Ford Mustang convertible.

Roughly 1,000 people participated in "Corey's Cruise," a 49-mile-long motorcycle ride, while a parade was held in Saxonberg in Corey's honor.
