Most European markets took a hit as trading resumed in the wake of President Trump's latest tariff threats, and as the EU keeps hoping for a deal.

Global markets were mostly higher and U.S. stock futures were lower as markets continue to focus on President Trump’s tariffs and await U.S. jobless data later Thursday. U.S. markets closed higher Wednesday with the Nasdaq Composite hitting a new record lead by technology stocks.

The stock market held near highs last week as Trump tariffs continued Saturday. Inflation, earnings loom. Google, AMD are near buy points.
