On Thursday, Philadelphia Flyers general manager Daniel Briere announced the team has hired Jaroslav Svejkovsky and Jay Varady to be the team’s new assistant coaches.

On Friday, the Flyers announced the hiring of Todd Reirden as assistant coach and Dylan Crawford as assistant/video coach, joining Jaroslav Svejkovsky and Jay Varady to form Tocchet’s trusted team.

Reirden won't touch the power play in Philadelphia. That responsibility is presumed to fall to Jaroslav Svejkovsky, who joined the Flyers' coaching staff earlier this month alongside Jay Varady.

Tocchet's coaching staff now consists of Reirden, Crawford, Jaroslav Svejkovsky, and Jay Varady, the latter two of whom were hired earlier this month.

• The Flyers will be adding another assistant coach to Tocchet’s staff, which now includes Jaroslav Svejkovsky and Jay Varady, but they’re in no rush to do so.
