After last night's heroics, Francisco Lindor continues to make his case to become the captain of the New York Mets.

Lindor a night earlier delivered a pinch-hit, two-run double in the ninth inning that provided the Mets with their margin of victory. The sight of Lindor taking off twice for second base with a broken toe hardly shocked manager Carlos Mendoza.

Francisco Lindor is not immediately headed to the injured list after his toe was broken by a pitch in the New York Mets’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
