Ukraine and Russia attacked targets on each other's territory on Thursday after brief direct talks between the two sides failed to make any progress on steps to end nearly three-and-a-half years of war.

Russian forces launched a second strike on downtown Kharkiv on the evening of July 25, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. "Another impact has been recorded in the downtown area, not far from the first strike.

The long-range Russian drones come in swarms each night, buzzing over Ukraine by the hundreds, terrorizing the population and attacking targets from the industrial east to areas near its western border with Poland.
