Wildfire smoke has been blowing into the city since Sunday though residents should should expect some relief by early morning Thursday, Environment Canada said.

Smoke from wildfires in Manitoba, a Western province facing its worst fire season in 30 years, has created hazardous air quality conditions across Eastern Canada and the United States.

Parts of the Greater Toronto Area remained under a special air quality statement and a heat warning on Monday night.
