The Ottawa Senators have a primary strategy Tuesday night in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series with the host Toronto Maple Leafs: Stay out of the penalty box.

The Toronto Maple Leafs dominate the Ottawa Senators 6-2 to take Game 1 of their first-round series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Toronto opened the scoring in the first period with Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

The Senators outhit the Maple Leafs 56-30 in Game 1 but many of their key young players including forwards Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk, Drake Batherson, Shane Pinto, Ridly Greig and Dylan Cozens, and defensemen Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot and Artem Zub each played their first Stanley Cup Playoff game.
