The Tigers have been one of the surprise stories of the first half of the season. After going 86-76 and tying for second in the AL Central last season, they are off to a 59-35 start even after a 7-3 loss to the Rays in their series finale Wednesday night.
The rosters for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game have been announced for the July 15 showcase in Atlanta. And for the most part, the fans (voting for the starters) and MLB (filling out the reserves) got things right. But every year there are some deserving players who don’t get invited to the party, despite putting up numbers that prove they belong.
These notable omissions will have to hope they’re named as replacement players if they want to play in next week’s Midsummer Classic.
The Cleveland Guardians, while they haven't been the best team this season, still have some incredible talents on the roster. Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan were named as All-Stars this season, but there's another player who's deserving of such an honor.
With the first stage of All-Star Game voting complete, these three players were unrightfully snubbed due to a flawed fan voting process that needs to change.
