The Israeli military has warned that “all of Israel is under fire” after Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Friday, following Israel’s attacks on Iranian military and nuclear targets.

The strikes killed generals and scientists, but the ambassador told the U.N. Security Council that “the overwhelming majority” of victims were civilians.
The U.S. military is operating in the air, on land and at sea to shoot down Iranian missiles fired at Israel.

At least 13 Israelis have now died in the hostilities between the Jewish state and Iran that began last week. Iranian strikes carried out overnight against Israel took at least 10 lives, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service.
Iran conflict could open opportunities for Russia to possibly become a power broker to help end the confrontation.
The retaliatory strikes came on Saturday, a day after Israel killed top Iranian military leaders and scientists and destroyed an aboveground nuclear enrichment plant near Natanz.
