A severe weather outbreak in Alabama through Saturday with the threat of hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. Some tornadoes could be strong and long-track.

Alabama is bracing for two rounds of severe weather on Saturday, and the first could affect parts of west Alabama early this morning. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for parts of west and north Alabama.

Severe thunderstorms are making their way into the Tri-State late Friday night into early Saturday. The National Weather Service has said that strong storms and tornadoes are possible. Here's a quick recap of what forecasters said in advance of the storm system.
