After giving up 10 runs to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the top of the eighth inning Friday, the Chicago Cubs battled back and retook the lead by posting six runs in the bottom of the same frame.

In a thrilling match, the Cubs defeated the Diamondbacks 13-11 in a comeback fueled by timely hitting and plenty of homers.

Chicago dropped a five-spot in the bottom of the seventh inning, seemingly putting the Diamondbacks away for good. Arizona would bounce back and then some a half-inning later, exploding for 10 runs during a rally for the ages in the top of the eighth inning to take an 11-7 lead.
