ESPN's successful revitalization of its Monday Night Football product continued in 2024 as the network just announced this was the second-most watched year since they started airing it in 2006. An average of 15 million viewers checked out MNF this season, trailing only the 2023 campaign and up 12% from 2022's numbers.

There is no 'Thursday Night Football' game this week, with the 2025 NFL playoffs beginning on Saturday, Jan. 11. The wild-card round will take place across three days, concluding on Monday, Jan. 13. NFL playoff games in wild-card weekend will air across a variety of TV networks, including CBS, FOX, ABC, ESPN, and NBC.

The regular season concluded last night when the Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. Up next… the playoffs! The Kansas City Chiefs and Lions earned round-one byes, with the other 12 playoff teams squaring off during the always unpredictable Wild Card Weekend.

The Monday Night Football matchup between the Lions and the 49ers is airing on ABC and ESPN, so if you have cable or an antenna, all you have to do is change the channel around 8:00 p.m. tonight.
