HBO has released the first look at the comedian and actor in costume as the half-giant and Hogwarts groundskeeper Rubeus Hagrid for its upcoming "Harry Potter" series. The photo was shared to the official "Harry Potter" and HBO Max social media accounts.

After Nick Frost promised his version of Hagrid wouldn’t be anything like Robbie Coltrane’s, the first look at the HBO Harry Potter TV show version is… unexpected.

Both Frost and McLaughlin will be joined by Arabella Stanton (as this generation's Hermione Granger) and Alastair Stout (as Ronald Weasley) in the series, which has been billed as a faithful adaptation of the book series with an eyed premiere date of sometime in 2027.
