"Happy Gilmore 2" broke a spending record for filming in New Jersey over a period of more than two months, state officials said.

"Happy Gilmore 2" generated a record $152.5M in New Jersey, boosting jobs, small businesses, and showcasing the state’s film industry growth.

The movie captured footage in 31 municipalities and nine counties across the Garden State. The production spent nearly $2.3 million per day.

Max Kessler, who got a degree in finance and accounting from SU’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management in 2014, revealed on Instagram that he appears in Sandler’s latest movie, “Happy Gilmore 2.” Kessler is credited as a young Happy Gilmore body double in flashback scenes, including for a backflop stunt.
