Two are dead, and a state police officer and two men were injured after a series of shootings near an airport and church in Lexington, officials said.

The day was interrupted when a man came on church property and shot four people, killing two women and injuring two men. The two women were identified as 72-year-old Beverly Gumm and 32-year-old Christina Combs. One man is in critical condition while the other is stable.
