U.K. pop singer Jessie J announced her breast cancer diagnosis in a video on Instagram, saying she learned of it before her new single "No Secrets" was released.

The Grammy nominee took to Instagram to share the news because she "wanted to be open and share it” partly “because selfishly I do not talk about it enough.”

Jessie J learned of her diagnosis two months ago, just before her single “No Secrets” was released in late April. During her statement, she emphasized how “sharing in the past has helped [her] with other people, giving [her] their love and support and also their own stories.”
