The home opener for the Lynx on Wednesday night at Target Center was briefly overshadowed by a homecoming for Minnesota native Paige Bueckers. She garnered a very loud cheer during player introductions for the Dallas Wings before the Lynx ran out of the tunnel.

On her way out the door to the WNBA, Bueckers hailed forward Sarah Strong as the next great Huskies star – and on Wednesday, Strong received the news that she will be representing Team USA at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series, which tips off in Marseille, France on Friday.
Back in 2012, when Bueckers was still a sixth grader, Gary Knox, also known as "G Prep," shared a picture of the guard on X, telling people to remember the name and comparing her to one of the WNBA all-time greats.
