French President Emmanuel Macron has revealed his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s two key desires amid his country’s ongoing war with Russia. Macron stated that Zelenskyy wishes to work with both Europeans and Americans to implement an unconditional ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Many of the elements of the U.S. proposal would be politically damaging to Zelensky, creating an opening Moscow could exploit, say analysts and officials.
