DUAL Garmin G5 HSI & PFD In Flight Demo - Pilots of America
Jun 24, 2015 · Like you said, they can have an optical illusion mixed in the panel. They didn't have the HSI yet when I installed. I am not so patiently waiting on dynon to decide on the Skyview HDX, another G5 or to see if the G500's have any impact (able …
FFS. I need a new hobby. | Page 14 | Pilots of America
Feb 6, 2025 · I thought the end cap looked way thin but that it was an optical illusion from the pic. Although that crank is swinging a big weight around, at least it’s low RPM, so that makes sense. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing your time with us.
KAVX - Catalina Island, twin-engine Beechcraft crash 5 dead
Oct 9, 2024 · After dark, I can imagine that the inability to see the far end of the runway could be confusing. Of course, it could have been something entirely different with engine problems, or nav issue or a dozen other things. But the crown presents an optical illusion of limited take off length.

Why isn’t my rpm at 2400 during full prop/full power
Jan 16, 2024 · The second I did was an optical gauge app on the iPhone. I tested at various rpms and the props were only steady at a 100-150 above the rpms showed on the gauge. So now this begs the question. Do I get this fix or just add probes to by 730 or upgrade to a primary engine monitor. Anyone have any idea how much the fix would cost?
Your most scary flight - Pilots of America
Jul 12, 2020 · That translates to nearly 3 degrees of pitch, almost matching the glide path, which gives the illusion of being level with the end of the ship!! I saw the ball three times. Each time it whizzed from off the scale one way to off the scale the other way! Totally useless, gyro stabilization wasn’t THAT good. We DO NOT take our own wave offs.

Bifocals vs Progressive - Pilots of America
Jan 16, 2018 · I bought a pair of single vision rimless glasses from Zenni after a very disappointing experience with boutique rimless specs costing $350 (they kept falling apart where the nose bridge and temples fasten to the lenses). The Zenni Optical Rx glasses were $40 and I've worn them daily for three years without any issues. An amazing value IMHO.
